Friend group saves bride’s bachelorette after maid of honor flakes on planning, gets her karma when she’s hit with the bill: 'We decided to take over'

There's an unspoken girl code when you're asked to be someone's Maid of Honor. You show up, you smile through your bestie's stress rampages, and yes, you plan the dang bachelorette party. Even if you hate planning. Even if you're chronically disorganized. Even if the mere thought of coordinating dinner reservations gives you hives.

I get it. I'm type B to my core. But when my best friend asked me to be her MOH, I knew I had to step up. She deserves a fun, stress-free celebration surrounded by people who love her. And though planning a weekend getaway might mildly annoy me, it's not going to kill me. That's part of the job. At least I was notified a year in advance.

But in this case, the MOH fully bailed on planning, left everyone hanging, and then had the audacity to complain about splitting a dinner bill.
